The Walking Dead: Cast and crew share photos of first day of season 11
By Renee Hansen
Social media is buzzing with the news that The Walking Dead has starting filming for its eleventh and final season. Fans are experiencing bittersweet emotions as they scroll through all of the postings.
A few weeks ago, Jeffrey Dean Morgan posted a photo on his IG that gave us too many emotions. The image was of a gift his son made him for his finale TWD script.
We all knew it was coming, but now that this final season is actually filming, it makes it too real.
The photo below shows a burnt-out windmill with a clapperboard signifying the last first day of filming The Walking Dead will ever see.
Who else is posting about the last season of The Walking Dead?
Many cast members and fans have posted photos, thoughts, and feelings regarding this filming announcement.
Lots of the cast, crew and fans, have reposted the above photo with excitement and sorrow that this season is getting underway.
Nadia Hilker, who plays Magna in the series, posted the photo below asking Guess Who’s Back? with a photo of her many alarms that started at 2:20 am!!
Cailey Fleming, who plays Judith, posted an adorable photo featuring herself with Cooper Andrews (Jerry) and the caption “Reunited, and it feels soo good.”
Then C. Thomas Howell teases us with the photo below.
Although this marks the beginning of the end for the main series, do not despair. We still have the six bonus episodes of season 10c of TWD. And Fear TWD will return on April 11 and is signed for another season. The second spinoff TWD World Beyond will have its second and final season coming soon.
Additionally, we will have the third spinoff series that will be focused on Carol and Daryl. Then the anthology series Tales of The Walking Dead will focus on stories past, present and future. Andrew Lincoln has made it clear that as soon as he can leave the UK, filming for the promised TWD movies will start.
There is still much to look forward to the TWDU. And, you can never tell where this will all lead. Something even better could come into TWDU.
