Fear The Walking Dead’s Danay Garcia cast in a new movie

Fear The Walking Dead is set to return on April 11 on AMC. Fans have been worried about when the second half of season six would be able to return. That, along with the news that filming is moving forward for the seventh season, has made fans of the series overjoyed.

Fear TWD’s Danay Garcia has announced a new project. She will star in the movie Spiked that Juan Martinez Vera directs.  She will star alongside Aidan Quinn, Deirdre Lovejoy, Carlos Gomez, Wendy Makkena, Lovensky Jean-Baptiste, Walter Belenky. Sal Lopez and Christopher Ric in this indie drama film.

Deadline reports that this film is a story that depicts the injustices of immigrant workers who are employed long the US/Mexican border. It follows a local journalist who tries to uncover a story behind the murder of an immigrant worker that law enforcement is unwilling to take on themselves.

With an outstanding cast and a great storyline, this is sure to be a film you won’t want to miss. It will air starting March 26th on VOD platforms including Amazon Prime, Apple iTunes, Vudu, Google Play, Vimeo and Gravitas Movies.

Garcia and the Fear TWD crew have started filming for season seven. There have been reports that filming was taking place in Round Rock, Texas. This is near the site where they filmed in season four, where the local stadium was used as a settlement in the series.

Executive producer  Scott M Gimple has stated that the back half of season six will be full of intensity with heartbreaks and revelations. There will also be the introduction of three new characters played by John Glover (The Good Wife), Nick Stahl (Carnivale) and Keith Carradine (Madam Secretary).

Critics and fans alike have agreed that season six gives off a different vibe. One that has drawn in more viewers with the dark and mysterious story.
