Lauren Cohan sings praises for her on screen husband Steven Yeun

The Walking Dead’s Lauren Cohan has returned to the series in season ten, and fans are excited to find out where she has been. Maggie and her son Hershel left in season 9 to explore other communities. The wait is almost over when her first full episode, “Home Sweet Home,” premieres on AMC on February 28.

Recently Cohan posted on her IG page regarding the Minari, which stars Steven Yeun, who played her on-screen husband on TWD series. This film has been raved about worldwide, and Cohan echos those sentiments.

She stated that she struggled to write a caption worthy of the film’s greatness. She followed up by saying it is a beautiful American story that stays with you. It made her feel, grow and think. High praise indeed.

Maggie and Glenn such a sweet, tender and tragic love story.

Many viewers feel that Maggie and Glenn are one of the best couples in the series. Glenn fast became a fan favorite when he saved Rick Grimes in season one. He was a resourceful individual who really earned his keep among the group.

In season two, Glenn is in awe of Maggie Greene, who made her entrance by riding in on a horse, baseball bat in hand, kills a walker, and takes Lori to see her injured son Carl.

They became fast friends going on supply runs together, and their relationship grew quickly. Maggie’s father wasn’t too sure about this Asian boy who had captured his daughter’s heart. Eventually, he saw what Maggie saw in this young man. He even gave Glenn his pocket watch that belonged to his grandfather, saying, “No man is good enough for your little girl until one is.”

Their relationship grew into something that nothing could tear apart. Glenn even asked Hershel for permission to marry Maggie. Once the permission was granted, he placed an engagement ring on her finger, and that symbolized they would be together forever.

Then Negan entered and brutally ended Glenn’s life, but Maggie has always remained true, even calling herself Maggie Rhee. She names their son Hershel in honor of her father, and in season 10c, we will get to see more of her son who closely resembles his father, even down to the baseball hat that resembles what his father wore early on in the series.

Congrats to Steven Yeun on his success with Minari. It is lovely to see Cohan shout out his accomplishments on social media.
