A few months ago, it was announced that The Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus would be adding to his resume with his new production company BBHFilms.

The original announcement was that he teamed up with Utopia Originals and Shout! Studios for a TV adaptation of the cult horror classic Sorority House Massacre. This film is an original 80s slasher film whose storyline follows a sorority sister stalked by a mental patient who has escaped from his hospital.

Today, Variety reports that Reedus has signed with AMC to adapt the book “Neglected Murderesses” by Edward Gorey. This would be a live-action series that Reedus would serve as executive producer with JoAnne Colona and Amanda Verdon, both from BBHFilms. The story is a black comedy of the tale of a group of female kills who use unique ways to take out their victims.

This is the first time Gorey’s estate has agreed to allow any of his works to be adapted. He was an avid animal lover, and his trust has pledged all profits from this venture will benefit organizations like The Elephant Sanctuary and The National Marine Life Center.

Norman Reedus has an extensive career in film and photography.

Reedus has been involved in the film industry since the early 90s and is an amazing photographer so stepping into a production company just seems like a logical next step. Here he will be able to spread his creative wings into another avenue of film.

He is well known for his roles as Daryl Dixon in The Walking Dead and one of the MacManus brothers in The Boondock Saints franchise. He has also been involved in many other projects, including Triple 9, Air, Sky, Red Canyon, Blade II and a small part in Vacation, a movie following a grown-up Rusty and his family. His films and projects are very diverse and include seven music videos for the bands’ Goo Goo Dolls, Ugly Kid Joe, R.E.M., Radiohead, Björk, Keith Richards and Lady Gaga.

His latest photography book, Portraits from the Woods, is a collection of amazing photography by Reedus. He has captured portraits of many people in his life, including Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Hideo Kojima, Lena Dunham, Diane Kruger, Dave Chapelle. There are also photos of Georgia and walkers in the mix. Reedus has a way of making the dark beautiful and the beautiful even more so. Currently, profits from the sale of the book are benefiting the COVID-19 Response Fund.
