While the Walking Dead world has been expanding with new shows, games, and projects on the horizon, some other properties have exited the franchise. The biggest farewell might be the comic book series, but Telltale’s game series based on the zombie apocalypse also left a major mark on the fan base.

The story of Clementine attempting to survive a world full of walkers and protect those she cares about brought gamers on an exciting journey that concluded with The Final Season in 2018, which ended with a fitting close to her story.

Considering how emotional and powerful the story of Clementine coming to age in the world of the undead was, it was bound to stick with people. To this day, a mere mention of her name among fans can bring to mind some tear-jerking moments involving Lee, Kenny, A.J., and others from the Telltale Games series.

Clementine might not be done in The Walking Dead universe

Recently, The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman took to Reddit for another AMA session to discuss Invincible, The Walking Dead universe, and his numerous other projects. One fan named with the user name Zand_Kilch asked for “Clementine pls” and got an interesting response.

"Kirkman replied with two words: “Stay tuned.”"

Then, a second individual going by Torizo237 dug a little deeper, asking about his previous tease in an issue of the Negan Lives comic about Clementine’s future. The answer got a bit more clear this time.

"“There will be Clementine news before the end of this year. That’s all I will say,” Kirkman replied."

Finally, Kirkman addressed a third person about the topic during his AMA. This time, it was Marshall_H_  who hammered on the topic one more time. This time really made it feel like a project is close to becoming realized.

"“I wouldn’t make a tease like that without it meaning something. I’ve answered this elsewhere too but stay tuned!”Kirkman answered."

Although he is known to play with fans’ emotions at times, this feels like something more concrete. It’s hard to tell what a future project with Clementine might be considering her place in the #TWDUniverse, but anything new with the character is likely to be greeted warmly by fans.

Whether it is a new game, a comic adaptation, an episode in Tales of The Walking Dead, or her character appearing somewhere else, one thing for certain is that a return for Clementine is definitely something worthy of staying tuned for.
