The Walking Dead’s second spin-off series, The Walking Dead: World Beyond, is currently filming its second and final season in Virginia. The series is an apocalyptic coming of age story that was scheduled for two seasons. This marks the first series in the fandom to have a scheduled end date.

Deadline has reported that Max Osinski has been cast in a recurring role for season two. Osinski is known as Agent Davis on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and has had parts on Shameless and MacGyver, among others. He is cast to play Dennis, a man who was once a dedicated soldier who is now trying to create a new life for himself.

Season one followed two sisters, Hope and Iris, and their friends Elton and Silas, as they left the comforts of the only home they have known to look for clues to their father’s whereabouts. This generation of young adults has grown up in this apocalyptic world but have been sheltered to the way things are outside of their walls.  They were followed by Felix and Huck, who want to protect them while also being tracked by those who mean to do them harm.

What will season two of World Beyond hold for the group?

Season two will consist of ten episodes, and if things progress with filming, we could see new episodes as early as mid-May. This would line up with Fear The Walking Dead’s sixth season finale.

At the end of season one of World Beyond, Hope, Huck and Elizabeth flew away in one of the CRM helicopters. The storyline will most likely give us more information about this mysterious group and what they are about. This is also the group that took Rick Grimes in The Walking Dead series.

One of the scenes that we saw in the first season showed the CRM experimenting on walkers. We weren’t given any information about what these tests were about, but season two is likely to shed light on this.

Fans are hoping this series will give us crossovers which Scott Gimple confirmed at NYCC in 2019.

Welcome, Max Osinski, to TWDFamily. It is exciting to see new casting for World Beyond.
