Jeffrey Dean Morgan shares BTS photo of his son as a walker

Fans of Jeffrey Dean Morgan were excited when The Walking Dead announced that his wife, Hilarie, would portray his on-screen wife, Lucille. Fans were impressed with their onscreen chemistry and how well she portrayed Lucille in the “Here’s Negan” episode.
Recently, Morgan shared on The Late Late Show with James Corden that another member of his family would be joining The Walking Dead cast. Morgan’s eleven-year-old son, Gus, will get made into a walker for the fifth episode of the series’s eleventh and final season. The shared photo is a black and white closeup that shows young Gus in his full walker makeup.
The Morgan’s are a tight-knit family, as fans can see from their social media posts, so it makes sense that their son would join the cast even in a small cameo. Due to COVID restrictions, the Morgan’s lived on the Alexandria set, in Rick Grimes house, during the filming of “Here’s Negan.”
What will season eleven of The Walking Dead hold for Morgan’s character Negan?
In the origin story episode “Here’s Negan,” we could see into Negan’s life before the outbreak. We knew some of the story, but this episode fleshed that out to show us a very different side to Negan and what made him snap and turn into the villain know in the series.
At the beginning of the episode, Carol took it upon herself to banish Negan to the cabin that was Leah’s. She wanted to keep him clear of Maggie, knowing that there is an inevitable altercation that will likely end in Negan’s death. At the conclusion of this episode, Negan chose to return to Alexandrian and face Maggie and her possible wrath. After wrestling with his past demons while alone in the cabin, Negan felt he would do better to return to Alexandrian and face whatever will happen.

The Walking Dead’s eleventh season will be the final, and fans are hoping for some amazing episodes to finish out the series. The season premiere will air on August 22 on AMC. Be sure to look out for Gus Morgan in the fifth episode of the season.
