Austin Amelio, who plays Dwight in The Walking Dead Universe, is one of three actors who crossed over from The Walking Dead to the spinoff Fear the Walking Dead. He is joined by Lennie James, who plays Morgan, and Christine Evangelista, who plays Dwight’s wife, Sherry.

Fear the Walking Dead is about to wrap up its sixth and best season ever on May 16. During his time on Fear the Walking Dead, Dwight has been searching for his wife, Sherry. But, when he finally found her, she had become a part of another group, and her goals have changed. There is serious tension between the couple, and so far, there has been no resolution.

It is sad to see, as Dwight’s only goal was to find her and rekindle their relationship. Sherry seems to have something that keeps her from joining Dwight, and maybe it’s her hunky new friend Rollie (Cory Hart), but that’s a whole other theory for another article.

What is the release date for Holler, starring Fear the Walking Dead’s Austin Amelio?

Fans of Amelio love seeing him in other projects outside of TWDU. His next film is titled Holler, scheduled to be released in theaters and VOD on June 11.  He stars with Jessica Barden, who is known for her work in The End of the F***ing World.

The story follows a young girl who needs to find the money to attend college so she can get away from “life below the poverty line.” She ends up working the scrapyard during the day and partnering with a dangerous scrap metal crew at night. The choices she makes will ultimately force her to choose between her future and her family.

The film also stars Gus Halper, Pamela Aldon and Becky Ann Baker and premiered at the SXSW film festival in 2020.
