Fear the Walking Dead: Austin Amelio’s son starred in recent episode

Austin Amelio is one of three Walking Dead actors who crossed over to Fear the Walking Dead. It has been a great transition for his character Dwight and gives the actor much more screen time. The most recent episode, “In Dreams,” held something extraordinary for Amelio. His real-life son got to play his on-screen son in this episode.
Amelio took to social media to share an awesome on-screen photo of the two of them. It is a touching look at this moment that both of them will cherish forever. This announcement follows the news that Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who plays Negan in The Walking Dead, will have his son join him as a walker in the fifth episode of season eleven. The scenes they share are actually part of a dream that Grace (Karen David) is having. These scenes look at the future of Morgan’s (Lennie James) community and how it was thriving. Dwight (Amelio) and his wife Sherry (Christine Evangelista) live in the community and have a son and a newborn daughter. It is a beautiful look at this couple and where things could eventually be for them. Things are very uncertain for the couple in the present setting of the series.

Amelio made a great transition from The Walking Dead onto Fear the Walking Dead. These crossovers of character don’t always work, but Amelio, James and Evangelista have all made this crossover, and things have gone very well. We see great character building in all three of their characters, Dwight, Morgan and Sherry. TWDU is doing something right with these transitions. It is great to see Dwight as the same character but with a very different personality than we saw when he was one of Negan’s saviors.
Next up, Amelio will star in a new film titled Holler that will release in theaters on VOD on June 11. The official trailer shows us a story of a young girl who wants to go to college. She secures a job at the local scrapyard, which also gets her mixed up with Hark (Amelio) and his group, who do some dangerous side work. This looks like a great film to check out.
