The Walking Dead season 11 teaser features serious girl power

The Walking Dead has slowly released new photos, episode titles and now a teaser for season 11. By the looks of what has been released so far, this season will be amazing. The new teaser has a run time of 15 seconds, but we see more of the Reapers and some major girl power for this season.

The images of the Reapers are outstanding but what is really interesting is the fact that the teaser focuses mainly on the powerhouse women of the series. We get glimpses of Maggie, Carol, Princess, Yumiko, Rosita, Kelly and Magna, all armed and ready for action.

Fans of the series know that the women in this series can kick ass and take names. It looks like season 11 will feature these women in the spotlight and show off their skills. The clips of all the women in the teaser give off a girl power vibe that is exciting to see.

The teaser also shows us a lot of other elements to this season. We see the comic book Wall of the Lost that is displayed in the Commonwealth. This wall is full of photos of missing loved ones that people are hoping to reunite with. In the comic storyline, there is a photo of Michonne on the wall. Will the series show that, or will someone else be featured in her comic story?

We have seen a couple of photos of abandoned subway tunnels, and the teaser shows a better-lit look. It looks like people could have been living there and have left behind many of their belongings.

There are many clips of graffitied walls, Commonwealth soldiers, destruction at Alexandria and the Reapers. The ladies are armed and look like they are ready to defend themselves and everyone they love.

In the two-part season premiere “Acheron Part 1 and 2,” we will see Maggie and a group return to Alexandria after a much-needed food run that didn’t result in nearly enough food for the community.  She has another plan that will be a dangerous but necessary one. They set out, and a storm drives them into the subway tunnel.  In part 2, one member of the group doesn’t make it out of the tunnel. The group knows it will be a suicide mission to head back to the tunnels. Who do they leave behind? We will also see some new developments with Eugene, Ezekiel, Yumiko and Princess who the Commonwealth is still holding.

The Walking Dead returns to AMC on August 22 with the premiere of the final season of the series.
