The city of Boston seems to be the best place to hide out from wave after wave of zombie assailants, according to a study conducted by Career Builder and EMSI that was done to rank cities most likely to survive a zombie apocalypse.

As viewers have seen time and time again on The Walking Dead, 28 Days Later, and Dawn of the Dead, just to name a few, even the least experienced citizens can manage to fortify a bunker of sorts and hide from the living dead for a considerable amount of time. But if no efforts are put forth to contain, cure and prevent this undead ordeal from happening again, then people will need the right resources to accomplish such game-changing tasks.

The city of Boston has around 24,000 people working in the fields of biomedical research and has a high number of medical professionals in the immediate area. These facilities are already very secure and well equipped for emergency situations. If the zombies were to begin their attack during work hours, most of them would just go into lockdown and start working right away.

Besides the plethora of people that can fight the disease, it’s also important to remember the people residing in the capital of Massachusetts are incredibly resilient, and in the face of crisis, they have been known to take on adversity without fear. If the rest of Boston’s strong-willed survivors can band together to cover the people in lab coats while they unlock the mysteries of the deadly plague destroying society, then the world’s chances of survival increase substantially.
