The Walking Dead Universe to invade SDCC virtual event

The Walking Dead has been a staple at SDCC for the duration of the series. Over the years, The Walking Dead has wowed attendees with the presentations they bring to the event. This year’s SDCC at Home event will take place July 23-25.
Last year we highlighted The Walking Dead’s attendance throughout the years in our article Looking back at The Walking Dead’s best moments at SDCC. As the years progressed, the panels and features grew to amazing heights making fans eagerly look forward to what would come the following year.
In 2020 TWDU participated in the At Home version of SDCC, where all three of the series participated in panels.
The Walking Dead SDCC 2021 virtual event
With season 11 being the final for the flagship series The Walking Dead, it makes sense that they will have a presence at this year’s event. Below is the schedule for TWDU.
Saturday, July 24, 1 pm PT: Fear the Walking Dead will host a panel moderated by Chris Hardwick (Talking Dead). Scheduled to appear in the panel are Scott M. Gimple, chief content officer for TWD, Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg, showrunners and executive producers for the series. The cast members who will appear include Lennie James, Alycia Debnam- Carey, Colman Domingo, Danay Garcia, Jenna Elfman, Karen David, Mo Collins and Christine Evangelista. The panel will give a first look at the upcoming seventh season of the series.
Saturday, July 24, 2 pm PT: The Walking Dead: World Beyond, the third series of the franchise, will showcase the first look at this series’s upcoming second and final season. Hardwick will also moderate this panel, and it will feature Gimple, Matt Negrete, the showrunner and executive producer for this spinoff series. The cast members include Aliyah Royale, Alexa Mansour, Nicolas Cantu, Hal Cumpston, Nico Tortorella, Annet Mahendru, Julia Ormond, Jelani Alladin, and Joe Holt.
Saturday, July 24, 3 pm PT: The Walking Dead will also host a panel with Hardwick, Gimple and showrunner Angela Kang. Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Lauren Cohan, Khary Payton, Christian Serratos, Josh McDermitt, Eleanor Matsuura and Michael James Shaw will participate in the panel. The panel will feature teasers for season 11, some fun BTS stories from the cast, and the OFFICAL TRAILER FOR SEASON 11.
