Exciting news for fans of The Walking Dead. Angela Kang has confirmed on Twitter that the official trailer for the eleventh and final season of the series will premiere at SDCC.

In reply to a fan who asked the question about the trailer release, Kang replied that this would be revealed at SDCC in July. She also stated the finishing touches are being put to the trailer. Most of the fandom have assumed that the trailer would be released at this event; for many years, that has been the new season’s trailer release pattern. So, it makes sense that they would follow suit for the final season.

The fandom has many high hopes for the final season. Season 10 left many open-ended storylines that fans are eager to learn the outcome.

The Walking Dead final season

As the time approaches for the beginning of the final season of the long-running series, The Walking Dead comes closer; fans are experiencing bittersweet emotions. On the one hand, everyone is excited to see what becomes of Alexandria, the reuniting of Connie with her family, a Maggie and Negan showdown, how Carol and Daryl will resolve their differences. Still, on the other hand, the beginning of the end of this series brings about many sad emotions.

As AMC releases the weekly reveals for the eleventh season, fans learn bits about what is to come. Alexandria is in peril, and the community must rise to the occasion and figure out a survival plan. The community is now the main residents for the majority of the characters. It was hit hard by the Whisperer war and the influx of new residents from the Kingdom, Hilltop and Maggie and her group, the Wardens.

In the first release photos and synopsis for season 11, things look and sound bleak. We also see an unlikely group of survivors who have banded together for a mission. This is encouraging as it can be hoped that the survivors can pull together and help resurrect Alexandria.

In this photo, we also see some newcomers who, it seems, are Commonwealth soldiers. Perhaps something good comes from Eugene, Ezekiel, Yumiko and Princess’s capture by the Commonwealth.
