TWD World Beyond Comic-Con@Home season 2 details
By Renee Hansen
The Walking Dead: World Beyond announced a premiere date of October 3 for its second and final season during its Comic-Con@Home panel. It looks like October will be the month of TWDU as The Walking Dead will also air during that time, and Fear the Walking Dead season 7 will begin on October 17. All three of the series will also air the episodes early for AMC+ subscribers.
World Beyond is the second spin-off in The Walking Dead Universe, a limited series consisting of two seasons. This series is a coming-of-age story of the first generation to grow up in an apocalypse. The first season set up the story and ended with a twist, one of the group members was actually working for the CRM, who seems to be the enemy.
During the Comic-Con@Home panel, a clip of the second season was shared and during this clip, we learn more about Will’s escape from the CRM. Felix and Iris also learn that the Omaha Colony, their previous home, has been overrun. They are told it was by a horde of walkers, but we know the truth, the CRM killed everyone there. Will told them he had asked too many questions and had to go on the run while the CRM searched for him.
It seems the CRM will lie and do whatever they see fit to fulfill their agenda. They called the attack on Omaha a salvage mission. Will saw the equipment they brought back from that colony and it was covered in blood.

With the premiere date of October 3, this means a trailer will soon follow. This series seems to be setting up storylines that will either tie into the main series or possibly set things up for the promised Walking Dead movies.
Cast members returning for the second season include Aliyah Royale, Alexa Mansour, Nicolas Cantu, Hal Cumpston, Nico Tortorella, Annet Mahendru and Julia Ormond. Four characters from the first season have now been announced as series regulars, Jelani Alladin, Joe Holt, Ted Sutherland, and Natalie Gold.
The Walking Dead: World Beyond returns to AMC on October 3.
Season one of World Beyond is now available on Blu-ray and DVD.
If you missed the TWDU panels at Comic-Con@home, they will be available on AMC+ on Thursday, July 29, in a dedicated AMC+ Fan Experience collection, along with memorable sessions from prior years.
