Today is the day fans of The Walking Dead and the spin-off series have been counting down. Today is the day all three shows in the fandom will have panels at Comic-Con@Home. We will get updates on World Beyond and its 2nd and final season. Fear the Walking Dead will give us something regarding the seventh season, maybe even a premiere date. And, the flagship series, The Walking Dead, will make us emotional as we view the final season’s official trailer.

We woke up this morning in anticipation of Comic-Con, and then that teaser drops! What? It is crazy that this teaser was saved for a Saturday morning release when it could have been the Thursday reveal, and fans would have gone nuts.

This teaser opens with Father Gabriel saying, “If we live, we live for them.” I got goosebumps hearing this line but didn’t this sound like something Rick Grimes would have said? YES!

The opening of this teaser has Father Gabriel saying the line above, and we see the windmill in Alexandria with char marks from a fire. Alexandria is in dire straights, and they need to figure out how to rally as this is the last remaining community.

A quick peek at what could be the subway tunnel we have seen so much of. This tunnel is going to lead to something crazy. In the clip released on Thursday, Gage (Jackson Pace) asks Maggie, “The guys we are going after do this?” So, this tunnel could lead to the Reapers.

And then, the heartwrenching scene of the burned Hilltop community. We can see some of the group walking around, looking at the remains. The residents of Hilltop, new and old, worked very hard to build it up into something amazing. To see all that hard work destroyed is just a punch in the gut.

We see some wicked-looking walkers. There are many walkers in Alexandria, and we see the group trying to fight them off.

Who is Carol talking to when she says, “This is a path you don’t want to go down”?

And Mercer. I can’t wait to see how this character is portrayed in the series. Fans have been waiting for the appearance of this character. I don’t think they could have chosen anyone better for the role. Michael James Shaw looks amazing!

Did you see the masked grim reaper-looking guy attacking Father Gabriel? And, that line of Reapers again. With Negan saying, “The only way this works is if we trust each other.” I wonder if these are words he says to Maggie?

The King, Connie and Alden all look to be in trouble.

We see Negan purposely walking in the subway car. I wonder if he is the one who gets left behind as the episode synopsis refers to one member of the group being left behind because a horde of walkers overruns them.

Maggie is pointing a gun at someone. Negan seems too obvious of a choice. But, maybe one of the Reapers who killed people from her last village?

Next. The Walking Dead: Daryl, Dog and a creepy subway tunnel. dark

This teaser is an amazing look at what will be a historical season for The Walking Dead.

The Walking Dead returns with its eleventh and final season on AMC on August 22. The season premiere episode will be available to stream on AMC+ on August 15.
