The Walking Dead cast answers fan questions on IMDB

IMDB asks some fan questions of The Walking Dead cast members Norman Reedus, Lauren Cohan, Khary Payton, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Elanor Matsuura. Fans of the series submitted the questions, and some of them were really great questions. And some of the answers were serious, and others hilarious.

When they were asked what weapon they would choose for a zombie apocalypse? (question from @shemjay93) JDM and Khary Payton were ready to bring out the big guns, literally. JDM said a gun and LOTS of bullets while Payton wanted to use Vasquez’s (Jenette Goldstein) gun from the Alien movie. Lauren Cohan, being a woman and citing the fact it has been proven NOT to work on walkers, opted for hairspray. Norman Reedus thought he would bring his on-screen brother (Boondock Saints), Sean Patrick Flannery, as his weapon of choice.

The next question, what do you want to take with you when the show is over (question from @shemjay93), prompted JDM to choose a Lucille or Negan’s iconic leather jacket as his memento from the series. JDM told Cohan she should take the spats from her boots. She joked that she has bat envy, and JDM has spat envy. Eleanore Matsuura went way back and said she would want the teddy bear from the pilot episode. Payton was enthusiastic about her choice and pointed to the wall behind him with a shadowbox containing Ezekiel’s feathers and thought that the teddy bear would be a great item to display there. Reedus admitting to already possessing about 9 of Daryl’s crossbows, which he thought might be a felony. (Maybe his stealing them is, but owning one isn’t)

Another great question was who else they would like to play in TWDU. (question by @pookiepete) Reedus confidentially answered, Michonne. Matsuura agrees Michonne would be hard to top because she is just so cool. Then Reedus commented how she is always in slow motion with her hair flying. JDM and Payton both choose Eugene. They like his unique style and the fact he always makes them laugh. Matsuura and Cohan agreed that Princess would be one they would want to be as she is always having a good time.

When asked how is Negan still alive (question by @nicangell), JDM said IF he is still alive, it’s because of Maggie and IF he isn’t still alive, it’s because of Maggie. And Cohan nodded in agreement.

Another question asked about pranks for shenanigans from filming.  (question by @ciaomichaella) Everyone knows that Reedus and Andrew Lincoln’s prank war has gone on for years. Reedus shared about the time he filled Lincoln’s trailer with roosters, Lincoln put his motorcycle on a barge and pushed in into the middle of a lake, and most have probably seen the air conditioner of Lincoln’s car filled with glitter.

A great question was asked regarding anything that can be shared bout the Daryl and Carol spinoff.  (question by @lilylove) Reedus said there isn’t a lot he car share but that it won’t look anything like The Walking Dead we are used to.

If one scene from the show could win an award, what would it be?  (question by @originallaclair) Reedus suggested the “Look at the flowers” scene, which we can all agree is an outstanding scene. Payton said Lennie James or Melissa McBride not winning Emmy’s for their performances on the series is incognizable. Cohan commented about the face-paced scene in season 10. Sighting this camera work had to be timed just right and that the crew really killed it.

The last question asked the cast if they could describe the final season in one word.  (question by @shara219) JDM – one word? Reedus – unexpected Cohan – collision Payton – Divergent Matsuura – surprising JDM – FINALE-MENAL

Reedus thanked all the fans and stated that he can’t wait to do an in-person Comic-Con again soon!

The Walking Dead season 11 will premiere on AMC on August 22. AMC+ subscribers will be able to stream this episode on August 15.
