Greg Nicotero talks Creepshow season 3 release date, teaser clip and cast
By Renee Hansen
The Walking Dead’s SFX guru and director Greg Nicotero participated in a Creepshow panel for Comic-Con@Home. This series is part of the Shudder family, an anthology series continuation of the film from 1982, where Nicotero serves as the producer. It was recently announced that the third season has a release date of September 23.
Nicotero was joined by writer Mattie Do, director Rusty Cundieff, and cast members Michael Rooker and James Remar for the Comic-Con panel moderated by Entertainment Weekly’s Clark Collis. For the upcoming season, Cundieff will direct a story called “Mums” that Nicotero wrote based on a short story by horror master Joe Hill (Stephen King’s son) in his short story collection “Full Throttle.” Ethan Embry, who played Carter in season 6 of The Walking Dead, will star in this story in the Creepshow series.
Writer Mattie Do is a newcomer to the series, and Nicotero is excited for fans to see a creature of her creation that is “unlike anything” he has ever seen. Do shared that she drew from her Southeast Asian heritage to create a monster whose head detaches, and entrails hang from its neck while it devours you. Sounds awesome and creepy to me!
Creepshow season 3 release date
During the Comic-Con panel, it was announced that season 3 of Creepshow has a release date of September 23, 2021. If you have yet to see seasons 1 and 2, I recommend you go to Shudder and do so immediately.
Creepshow season 3 teaser clip
Although there is no official trailer has been released yet, in the panel above, you can see a teaser clip of “Drug Traffic,” which features Do’s creature. Towards the end of the panel, we get to see a clip of another story titled “Queen Bee.” This story follows some young girls who sneak into a hospital to get photos of their favorite singer’s newborn child so they can sell to the tabloids. The girls get a little more than they bargained for.
Creepshow season 3 cast
As mentioned above, Ethan Embry will star in one story; other actors joining this season include Michael Rooker, Jonathan Schaech, Reid Scott and Hannah Fierman.
Creepshow will release its third season on Shudder, available on AMC and AMC+.
