The Walking Dead: Carol’s role in season 11 – new photos
By Renee Hansen
The Walking Dead has released many new photos for season 11, and it is fascinating to look more closely at them and try to decipher what is going on. Many photos featuring Carol have been released, but we don’t see much of her in the trailers and promos. Carol has been with the series since the beginning, and Melissa McBride has done an amazing job with the growth of this character.
Going into season 11, we know that Carol is safe as far as her death since she will go on the spin-off series with Daryl. But, if we know anything about Carol, she is a wild card and will do what she wants regardless of what anyone else thinks.
We saw her try to exile Negan to Daryl’s old cabin in “Here’s Negan,” she did this to clear her conscience of Maggie killing him. We saw some major conflict between her and Daryl in season 10c, but they have chemistry that no one can disrupt, and things will eventually be rectified between them.

In the teaser clip featuring Carol, we see her risk her life to get her hands on some much-needed food for Alexandria. In “Acheron Part 1,” Daryl takes a group to a military base he found to look for food and supplies that are desperately needed in the community.
In the clip, we see Carol below surround by walkers shooting as many as she can as Daryl picks them off with his crossbow. As she gets ready to grab the rope that will carry her to safety above, she sees a box marked “Meals Ready To Eat,” the kind that the military uses. Being Carol, she risks her safety to get those meals for the people who need them.
Carol, Daryl, Maggie, Jerry, Alden, Lydia, Rosta and Magna are the group on this mission to search the military base.
This episode is going to be an amazing beginning to the end of this series. The more I look at the photos and try to figure out what is going on, the more excited I become!
In another trailer, we see Carol and a group at Hilltop sifting through what is left. This won’t happen until “Out of the Ashes,” which is the fifth episode. There were some disturbing video clips in one teaser that it was hard to decipher what was going on.
It will be interesting to see where Carol goes in the season as she is unpredictable, which makes this character possibly the most interesting in the series.
The Walking Dead returns to AMC on August 22 and AMC+ on August 15.
Get ready for it!!
