Jon Bernthal in Small Engine Repair, release date, cast and trailer

Jon Bernthal has made a name for himself with the amazing roles he has been cast in. Fans of The Walking Dead loved to hate him as Shane Walsh; he broke into the MCU as The Punisher and portrayed business magnate Lee Iacocca in Ford v Ferrari. Those are only a few of his outstanding roles. Next, we will see Bernthal in the indie film, Small Engine Repair.
The film is an adaptation of the play from 2011 by Rogue Machine Theatre in Los Angeles. This was written by playwright and actor John Ollono, who stars in the play and the film.
The play was to have a limited run, but it was extended due to critical acclaim. The play was a success and was nominated for 5 Ovation Awards, 3 Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Awards and 3 Back Stage Garland Awards. Of the 11 nominations, the play won 9 of them.
This film is classified as a dark dramedy, but it looks more like a thriller from the trailer.

Vertical Entertainment will release its film Small Engine Repair on September 10.

Small Engine Repair synopsis
High school pals Frank, Swaino and Packie, gather at Frank’s repair shop for a reunion of sorts. All of the guys dote on Frank’s daughter Crystal, so when Frank asks them to do a favor on her behalf, they are happy to help. When a young college jock, Chad, arrives, the favor he asks of them is revealed, and the story takes a crazy turn.

The trailer for the film shows the closeness of the group of friends with lots of jokes on each other’s behalfs. But then it takes a dark turn, and it’s anyone’s guess how the story will end.
