Opening Minutes of the new Walking Dead episode

Decider has an exclusive look at the opening minutes of the next Walking Dead episode, “Hunted.” Head to Decider’s site to view 1:17 minutes of the beginning of the episode. The previous episode left off with the Reapers showing their stuff by attacking Maggie, Negan, Daryl and the rest of the subway tunnel group.

“Hunted” wastes no time picking up where “Acheron Part 2” left off. I won’t spoil anything here but know you are in for a ride. We have only seen bits and pieces of what to expect from the Reapers, and nothing we have seen looks like this group will be welcoming.

Everyone in the fandom can agree the photo above looks to be straight from The Purge. If you aren’t familiar, The Purge is an annual event where crime is temporarily legal for one night. These guys look like that is the lifestyle they lead, and Maggie and the crew are their targets.

What do we know about the Reapers in The Walking Dead?

The Reapers are mysterious, but there is some information we know about them.

They are lead by a man named Pope (Ritchie Coster). He will be featured in an upcoming episode, and we have no information about his personality other than he marked Maggie for some unknown reason. This was disclosed in “Home Sweet Home” when the gilly-suited man uttered those words before blowing himself up.

We also know they took the Warden’s home of Meridian. This was to be the destination of the subway group as Maggie assured them there would be plenty of food to take back to Alexandria.

Showrunner Angela Kang told Decider that this group is small and elite. They have been trained before the outbreak and are excellent killers.

It will be an episode you won’t want to miss!
