The Walking Dead Deluxe Issue 27 for Local Comic Shop Day Nov 24

Local Comic Shop Day 2021 will be held on Wednesday, November 24. Skybound has announced a special Walking Dead comic for the special day.

The Walking Dead Deluxe #27 will feature a foil treatment on the cover logo (Diamond Code AUG219266). Created by Robert Kirkman, Charlie Adlard, and Dave McCaig, this is a key issue, Welcome to Woodbury, introducing The Governor, the most wicked of The Walking Dead villains.

This unique printing of The Walking Dead Deluxe #27 will not be reprinted, so be sure to snag your copy on Local Comic Shop Day.

The Walking Dead Deluxe #27 for Local Comic Shop Day

A cool bit of trivia regarding this issue. In the movie Zombieland: Double Tap, Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg) reads a copy and comments on how scary but unrealistic it is.

This will be the second year in a row that Local Comic Shop Day® will fall on a Wednesday. According to Executive Director of ComicPro, Marco Davanzo, the event was moved from Saturday to Wednesday because that is the day new comics are traditionally released. The switch saw more stores participating and the goal of this day is to get more fans in the shops for the holidays.

Three items have been announced for Local Comic Shop Day so far, with more to follow.

JOY OPERATIONS 1, Dark Horse Comics From Peabody and multi-Eisner Award winner Brian Michael Bendis, this Jinxworld comic goes 55 years into the future and features Joy, an EN.VOI., a special agent of the Jonando Trust. Art by Stephen Byrne with a Tyler Boss variant cover.

CHUCK D PRESENTS APOCALYPSE 91 REVOLUTION NEVER SLEEPS, Z2 Comics. Limited print graphic novel. Celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Public Enemy album, “Apocalypse 91: The Enemy Strikes Back”.
