Alycia Debnam-Carey directs her first episode of Fear the Walking Dead
By Renee Hansen
Fear the Walking Dead adds another actor to its list of directors. Alycia Debnam-Carey joins Colman Domingo, Lennie James and Aisha Tyler as actors in the series who have also directed for the series. The episode directed by the actor who portrays Alicia will be in the second half of season seven that will release sometime in 2022.
Debnam-Carey has played Alicia Clark since season one of Fear the Walking Dead. She has experienced severe loss over the past six seasons, and the last time we saw her, she was locked in the Franklin Hotel bunker by Teddy.
Heading into the seventh season, it looks as if Victor Strand will be the villain, a role he was made for, and at some point, Alicia will come face to face with him, and it won’t be pretty. Strand has made it very clear he is working without the help of Morgan, Alicia, and all the others.

There has been no announcement about which episode for season seven she has directed or what the title or synopsis is. The only clear thing is that this episode will be in the second half of the season.
The first episode of season seven was Strand-centric, but we did learn more about what Alicia has been up to since being locked in the bunker from a new character named Will (Gus Halper). She was trapped with 128 other people, some of which were refugees of the Holding.
