Nico Tortorella cast in new Zach Braff produced film The Mattachine Family

The Walking Dead: World Beyond character Felix is played by Nico Tortorella. Felix is the older brother character who watches over everyone in the group. Felix is wise and well-trained in defense. Deadline is reporting that Tortorella has been cast in a new film, The Mattachine Family.

Since the beginning, Tortorella has been with The Walking Dead World Beyond and has proven a loyal companion to the group. At the Campus Colony, Felix was the head of security and a survival instructor. When Hope and Iris set off to locate their father Leo, a man who had been like a father to Felix, he couldn’t help but go after them to keep them safe.

The series is in its second and final season and is diving deeper into the CR and what this organization is about. So far, it seems things are a bit shady, and the future of Felix and his group is uncertain.

Nico Tortorella cast in new film The Mattachine Family

Andy Vallentine directs the Mattachine Family with a story he wrote with his husband Danny Vallentine, who wrote the script, and Zach Braff will serve as executive producer.

Tortorella will play Thomas and Pablo Di Pace will play his partner Oscar. The story focuses on their relationship when one of their foster children returns to his birth mother, and they realize they have very different ideas about what a family means.

The film also stars Carl Clemons-Hopkins, Emily Hampshire, Jake Choi, Annie Funke, Heather Matarazzo and Cloie Wyatt Taylor. The film is currently in production.

Tortorella is known for his roles in Scream 4, The Following, Younger, Menendez: Blood Brothers and many others. They also authored a poetry collection titled All of It is You and a memoir, Space Between. 

Tortorella will return in The Walking Dead: World Beyond on AMC on November 7 with a new episode, “Who Are You?” This episode is currently available on AMC+.
