Walking Dead showrunner Angela Kang’s first episode aired 10 years ago

Showrunner Angela Kang has been involved with The Walking Dead since very early on. The first episode she ever wrote for the series was “Secrets” from season two. Ten years ago, on November 20, 2011, this episode aired on AMC.
Kang has written at least 29 episodes of the series so far. Some of the notable episodes she has written include “I Ain’t a Judas,” “Four Walls and a Roof,” “Thank You,” “The First Day of the Rest of Your Life,” and “A New Begining.”
A little bit of trivia, Kang’s son portrayed baby Hershel in season seven’s “The Day Will Come When You Won’t Be.”

Kang became the showrunner for The Walking Dead ins 2018, the ninth season of the series. She will continue this role until the completion of the series in 2022.
Next, she is slated to be the showrunner of the third spin-off series that will feature fan-favorite characters Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) and Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride). These characters are the last two remaining from season one. There has been no announcement from what to expect from this series, but Reedus has stated in numerous interviews that it won’t look like the flagship series.
Angela Kang’s first Walking Dead episode: Secrets
“Secrets” was the sixth episode of season two, the 12th episode overall. The synopsis for the episode reads:
"Secrets are told and secrets are revealed. Hershel refuses to acknowledge the world’s new reality. Andrea comes out of her shell. Everyone is becoming more and more aware that “everything is food for something”."
This episode is aptly titled as it is filled with secrets. The walkers in the barn, Lori’s pregnancy, Shane and Andrea getting it on, Carl taking the gun, Shane’s involvement in Otis’ death and Rick not telling everyone that Hershel wants them to leave the farm. Lori also tells Rick about her affair with Shane when she thought Rick was dead. Rick said to her that he already knew about this.
This episode leads up to “Pretty Much Dead Already,” which is an exciting episode.
The Walking Dead returns to AMC with part 2 of season eleven on February 20, 2022.
