If you are in the holiday spirit, there are Christmas movies starring actors in The Walking Dead universe. Amazon Prime has the movie Christmas on the Bayou available to stream, and it stars Hilarie Burton Morgan.

Christmas on the Bayou is a Lifetime Movie that was released in 2013. This film was directed by Leslie Hope (Snowpiercer, Lost in Space) and written by Marcy Holland and Brian D. Young.

The story follows a successful marketing executive Katherine (Burton Morgan), who lives in NYC with her 8-year-old son Zac (Brody Rose). When she realizes that her workaholic lifestyle is taking a toll on her son, she decides to head home for the holidays. Home is in the bayou in Lousiana, where Katherine meets up with an old flame and Papa Noel (Ed Asner) must work a Christmas miracle to help Katherine follow her heart.

Additional cast members include Tyler Hilton, Markie Post and Randy Travis.

This is a fun holiday movie with enough heart to make you feel all warm and fuzzy.

Fans of The Walking Dead loved seeing Burton Morgan play opposite her husband Jeffrey Dean Morgan on the series. She played the wife of Morgan’s character Negan named Lucille. This was in the season 10c bonus episode “Here’s Negan,” and the story was an origin of Negan that was heartbreaking, and the couple had fantastic chemistry to tell this story.

Burton Morgan currently has a podcast with One Tree Hill co-stars Sophia Bush and Bethany Joy Lenz called Drama Queens. The podcast breaks down the episodes of One Tree Hill. “Relive it, Relove it, Rewatch it …every One Tree Hill minute of it.”

She also hosts the crime documentary series It Couldn’t Happen Here. She travels to small towns that have experienced horrific crimes that never got the media coverage the same crimes would have in a bigger city. She interviews friends and family members of the victims, looks at the impact the crimes had on the community and where things stand within the justice process.
