Steven Yeun will Executive Produce a documentary on Nam June Paik

Variety has reported that Walking Dead alum Steven Yeun and Fab 5 Freddy will executive produce a documentary on artist Nam June Paik. The documentary has yet to have a title and is expected to be complete in 2022.
Korean American artist Paik is known for being the founder of video art and coined the term “electronic superhighway, in the 1970s. The documentary will chronicle his life from childhood. He fled to Japan from his homeland at the outbreak of the Korean War, then moved to Germany and eventually settled in New York City.
The film is reported to interviews with footage of David Bowie, Joseph Beuys, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Charlotte Moorman, Yoko Ono, Jonas Mekas, Allen Ginsberg, Andy Warhol, John Cage, Merce Cunningham, George Maciunas, Bad Brains and John Hanhardt.
Directed by Amanda Kim, the hope for this documentary is to shed light on the brilliant work of Paik, who inspired many other artists.
Steven Yeun other projects
Yeun will always be fondly remembered for his portrayal on The Walking Dead of Glenn Rhee, a former pizza delivery guy who made the best of life in an apocalypse. Since leaving that series, he has gone on to do some other amazing projects.
Most notably was his performance in Minari, which earned him an Academy Award Best Actor nomination, becoming the first Asian American actor to receive such an honor.
He currently plays the lead in Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman’s animated Invincible. Yeun plays Mark Grayson, an average teenager whose father is the most powerful superhero in the world.
Next, he will star in Jordan Peele’s horror film, Nope, which is expected to release in July 2022.
He will star alongside Ali Wong in an A24 production for Netflix, an original comedy-drama series titled Beef.
