Fans know him as Noah from AMC’s The Walking Dead, but they can see Tyler James Williams in the ABC workplace comedy Abbott Elementary.

If so, fans of the popular AMC dramas may be interested in a new ABC show featuring Tyler James Williams, the actor known for playing Noah on The Walking Dead, and Chris from Everybody Hates Chris.

Abbott Elementary starring Tyler James Williams

The new series called Abbott Elementary is centered around a group of teachers at an underfunded Pennsylvania school. They attempt to do what is best for the students and themselves despite the efforts of their principal.

That description might sound a bit dry, but the show feels much like the early seasons of The Office and Parks and Recreation. The mockumentary style of presentation allows the cast members to really shine, especially Quinta Brunson, who plays the optimistic Janine Teagues, Lisa Ann Walter as the resourceful Melissa Schemmenti, and Sheryl Lee Ralph as the complacent Barbara Howard.

The pilot episode is available to stream right now on Hulu as well as ABC.com, with the second episode set to air on Jan. 4. However, fans of Tyler James Williams should know that his character, Gregory Eddie, does not show up until the final minutes of the series premiere. Still, it sets up an opportunity for him to have a significant role going forward.

This show has the potential to be relatable to many people while also bringing some absurd comedy to the story. Abbott Elementary is definitely a series to watch.
