Michael Cudlitz played Abraham Ford on The Walking Dead from season four to season seven. Abraham was a character from the comics that Cudlitz did justice to compared to his comic counterpart. His presence on the series is greatly missed. Since his departure from the series Cudlitz has been involved in many great projects. Next, he will star in a film called Unspoken.

Cudltiz has kept involved in The Walking Dead universe by stepping behind the camera as a director. He has directed three episodes of TWD and two episodes of the second spinoff series, The Walking Dead: World Beyond.

Fans are hoping to see Abraham return, in some form, for the final season as Cudlitz has teased fans about being on set via his Twitter account. His involvement for the last season is most likely as a director, but perhaps we will see him in a flashback.

Michael Cudlitz to star in Unspoken

Deadline has reported that Michael Cudlitz and Jake Abel will join Zhang Hanyu and Vivienne Tien in a new drama film, Unspoken. The film, directed by Daming Chen, is currently in production.

This film focuses on an ex-cop, Xu, who finds out his deaf daughter has been murdered. The father-daughter relationship was estranged, and the two were separated because she was studying at a US university. With his previous experience in law enforcement, he is convinced the local authorities have the wrong suspect and that racism is clouding the investigation.

There has been no announcement about what role Cudlitz will play in this film.

After Cudlitz left The Walking Dead, he stepped into a much different role in the ABC sitcom The Kids Are Alright. This comedy series told the story of the Cleary family with the husband and wife team of Mike and Peggy Cleary (Cudlitz and Mary McCormick, respectively) raising their eight sons in 1972 suburban Los Angeles. Although the series received favorable reviews, ABC canceled after one season.

He was then cast in the psychological crime drama Clarice, based on The Silence of the Lambs novel, and is a sequel to the film of the same name. Cudlitz played the role of Paul Krendler, the leader of the VICAP Fly Team. This series aired on CBS and was reported to be moving to Paramount+ for its second season, but in June 2021, the relocation became highly unlikely.

Cudlitz also had a role in Robert Kirkman’s animated series Invincible. He voiced Red Rush/Josef in season one. You can also see him in the thriller Red Stone with Neal McDonough and fellow Walking Dead actor Jason Douglas (Tobin).
