The Walking Dead: Baby it’s cold outside!
By Renee Hansen
The Walking Dead is currently filming the final three episodes of the series. As if that isn’t crazy enough, Georgia has been experiencing a cold snap and has even gotten snow.
Georgia never gets a lot of snow, but this year they have. This, plus the fact the series, in previous years, would be on hiatus from filming during the month of January, have never experienced snow during filming.
Cinematographer Duane Charles Manwiller posted an awesome behind-the-scenes photo of the Commonwealth soldiers as the snow is coming down. He captioned it “hot of the press.” He also stated that this was a first for him in the five years working on the series.
This snowy footage could be seen in a future episode, or perhaps production was shut down due to the weather.
Khary Payton was also feeling the chill, as you see in the photo below. He is donning a full-length winter coat à la Andre Leon Talley.
The Walking Dead season 11
Two weeks ago, it was announced that the series only had three more episodes to film to complete the final season. It is unreal to think they are that close to being finished with filming a series viewers have watched for over ten years.
In less than a month, the series will return to AMC for the premiere of season 11B. The trailer for the segments looks action-packed and full of the Commonwealth.
The Walking Dead returns to AMC on February 20. AMC+ subscribers can view the premiere episode one week early.
