The Walking Dead series has been airing on AMC since 2010 and has a fanbase that is very vocal about what they want from the series. Their wishes don’t always come true, but one that should be heeded is the airing of the final episode.

When AMC decided to air episodes of The Walking Dead one week early on AMC+, the negative outcry was substantial. Fans who don’t have access to or are unable to subscribe feel ripped off as AMC+ subscribers will spoil the episodes before the linear viewers.

Another AMC Network/BBC America series ending soon is Killing Eve. The eight-part final season of this series begins airing on Feb. 27. The new episodes air on  AMC+ one week early of the airing on AMC.

One thing that caught my eye is this: with the exception of the series finale, which will air concurrently.

The Walking Dead final episode

That is exactly what fans of The Walking Dead have been begging for. Will the finale episode airing of Killing Eve set a precedent for the network?

How amazing would that be for the entire fandom to come together for the finale episode? This would be a fantastic way to say goodbye to the series that created a family of fans and cast members, unlike anything other series has seen.

The Walking Dead will premiere part 2 of season 11 on AMC on February 20, with AMC+ subscribers viewing the episode one week early on February 13.

This is by no means the end of the fandom with several spin-offs planned and The Walking Dead movies coming, eventually. The third spin-off series, Tales of the Walking Dead, is currently filming and will air the first season in Summer 2022.

Please, AMC Network, give Walking Dead fans, who have given so much time to the series, simultaneous viewing of the final episode of the series.
