Daryl Dixon is a staple of The Walking Dead Universe. Portrayed by Norman Reedus, he is one of two characters remaining on the series who originate from the Atlanta group from season one. He is fiercely loyal to his family and will do anything to ensure their safety.

Daryl is seen sporting Commonwealth military armor in the recent teaser, and viewers don’t like it one bit. Either he has been forced into the military, or more likely, he has volunteered as some sacrifice for the group.

In season 11A, we saw Daryl become a member of the Reapers after being tortured by them. He did this to make sure that Maggie’s plan to obtain the much-needed food and supplies from Merdian for the residents of Alexandria would be successful. This is the type of thing Daryl will do for anyone he loves.

The teaser (below) is a quick one, but there is a shot of Daryl in Commonwealth military armor as he looks on at Judith (Cailey Fleming), who is wearing a dress that is uncharacteristic for her. She looks adorable as her dotting Uncle Daryl watches.

In the trailer, we saw Daryl in a house battling walkers, similar to what we saw Eugene and Princess doing in previous episodes. For Eugene and Princess, this was as punishment for breaking Commonwealth rules. Will Daryl do something against their rules and be forced into the military? Or does he volunteer to keep on the inside of what goes on in the Community?

It also appears that Leah (Lynn Collins) is still in the mix. But, whether this is during or after the Reaper war is unclear. She isn’t wearing her Reaper gear as viewers have previously seen so, perhaps she survives the Reaper war. We see clips of Negan in the teasers and trailers, but he doesn’t seem to be in Alexandria or the Commonwealth. Perhaps Leah will meet up with him, and the newcomer he is with is seen featured in the trailer.

I can’t imagine Daryl forgiving her for torturing him and the betrayal of her killing Pope and then blaming him. We will have to wait and see.
