The Walking Dead: Last Mile is the interactive story TWD fans need

This summer, zombie fans will be able to sink their teeth into an interactive story titled The Walking Dead: Last Mile on Facebook Gaming and Watch.
There is so much great content coming out for fans of The Walking Dead. The Carol and Daryl spinoff, Tales of the Walking Dead series, the Rick Grimes movies, more episodes of FearTWD, and the final episodes of the original AMC series.
There is even more content to look forward to in the TWD Universe. According to the Skybound website, an interactive series titled Last Mile is coming to Facebook Watch and Facebook Gaming.
It is being billed as a “Massively Interactive Live Event” (MILE) brought to you by Genvid Entertainment and Skybound that will allow fans to”directly experience and impact a persistent TWD world and characters.”
The Walking Dead: Last Mile, how does it work?
Think of the new project as a “choose your own adventure” type of television show. The story will change based on the decisions made by the players watching and interacting with the series, creating the possibility for some exceptionally interesting storytelling.
According to Robert Kirman in the release, “fans can play games and influence this new world and its inhabitants as a community.” Facebook will “stream a living, breathing world of The Walking Dead, working collectively and individually to impact the story at every turn.”
In theory, this could be an opportunity to create a world similar to the Telltale Games series, where the choices made will directly impact the story and characters involved. If it can come close to matching that kind of compelling storytelling and drama, Last Mile could be a massive success by providing something unique for fans of zombie dramas.

For the moment, details surrounding how fans will interact with the story, how interactive it will be, what characters will be involved, and where the series will be set have yet to be revealed. However, more information about Last Mile‘s characters and setting as well as how that interesting new addition to The Walking Dead universe will work, will likely be revealed far before the Summer 2022 release.
