The Walking Dead season 11 is not coming to Netflix in March 2022
By Renee Hansen
Fans of AMC’s series The Walking Dead generally watch the new episodes when they release on Netflix. The air date has always been Sunday evenings at 9 p.m. EST, which has continued for the eleventh season. Many viewers are anxious to know when season 11 will be released on Netflix.
The series is currently filming the final episodes, but that episode won’t be seen until later in 2022. The last season of the series will consist of a total of 24 episodes, released in three parts with eight episodes each. Part one aired from Aug. 22-Oct. 10, 2022, with part two releasing on Feb. 20, 2022, and will conclude on March 10, 2022. There has been no release date for part three of the final season.
Many viewers subscribe to AMC+, which gives them access to the newest episodes one week ahead of the linear airing on AMC.
Is The Walking Dead season 11 on Netflix?
Generally, the most recent season of The Walking Dead would release ahead of the next season, but with this being the final, that timeline won’t happen. Since this season will still have another eight episodes later in the year, the Netflix release is very uncertain.
If the third part of season 11 is released in Aug. 2022, Netflix subscribers could see season 11 by the end of 2022 but more realistically, not until 2023. Season 10 of the series was released only about a month before the season 11 premiere, three months after the final episode aired on AMC.
Netflix currently has seasons 1-10 available of The Walking Dead to stream and many movies and shows starring Walking Dead actors.
Before the final episodes of The Walking Dead air, the third spin-off series, Tales of the Walking Dead, will premiere in the summer of 2022. This series features anthology episodes based on new or established characters within the flagship series.
