The Walking Dead season 11 episode 11 MVP Rogue Element
By Renee Hansen
This week’s episode of The Walking Dead, “Rogue Element,” saw Eugene (Josh McDermitt) on a mission to discover what happened to the girl he knew as Stephanie. We also Carol doing what she does best, and Connie and Kelly do some serious investigative reporting.
Last week we bestowed the MVP to Carol because she’s always going the extra mile for those she loves. She could have technically received it again this week for her efforts, but we thought we’d share the love and give it to another.
This week was tough to choose as there were no great action scenes to base the title on, but many characters were using their brains in this episode. And, that is also worthy of the MVP. For all his bumbling about, Eugene was correct in assuming that something wasn’t right with Stephanie’s disappearance and Princess was a true friend who aided him during his time of need. But, there was another who stuck her neck out for a good cause.
THE MVP FOR ROGUE ELEMENT IS – CONNIE
The Walking Dead – Connie
Last week we learned that Connie’s previous work in journalism unseated Governor Pamela Milton’s uncle from his seat in Congress before the outbreak. This proves that she is good at her job but also puts her at risk as the Governor could want revenge for this action.
During this week’s episode, Connie and Kelly work hard to discover what has become of ex-Trooper Tyler Davis. They find out that he has been held for 30 days, but no one knows what he is charged with.
They take a field trip with Mercer to study him and hold a Q&A. When he returns completely covered in blood, he tells them he will answer the questions given to her.
She asks about Davis and reveals that she knows Max, aka Stephanie, is his sister. She is curious if Davis’s being held has anything to do with him holding Mercer’s sister as his hostage. He wasn’t surprised she found out about his sister but told Connie that his sister has nothing to do with Davis being held. He also commented that the question was not one “they” sent her.
Hopefully, Connie’s questions don’t get her into significant trouble with the Commonwealth. But, bravo to her for asking the hard questions. And runner-up MVP to Kelly for backing her sister up.
And, what is up with that list of names that was pushed under the door? Are these resistance names? Or perhaps other troopers who have been treated the same as Davis?
