The Walking Dead season 11 episode 11 recap Rogue Element
By Renee Hansen
The most recent episode of The Walking Dead, “Rogue Element,” wasn’t an action-packed one, but it was full of great information.
One of the main stories was Eugene finding and losing love within a matter of moments. When viewers were happy to see him happy, he sat there with his melted ice cream, representing his sadness. He discovers the girl he knows as Stephanie is missing without a trace. This is on the heels of the morning they exchanged I love yous. He reached out to his friend Princess who gave him great advice for his love life.
Princess and Eugene follow a lead that ends up getting them in hot water with Lance Hornsby again. Luckily he has something to hide, so he lets them off easy. Lance is a guy who has many secrets, which could mean trouble for many characters.

We also saw Connie and Kelly in a deep, unauthorized investigation into ex-trooper Tyler Davis, who made the spectacle at the recent Halloween masquerade ball. They discover he has been held under armed guard for 30 days, but none can tell them what he is being held for.
They shadow Mercer on a run, and during the Q&A with him, Connie asks about Davis and Mercer’s sister, Max, aka Stephanie. He knows these questions haven’t been authorized and tells her so. Hopefully, this doesn’t get the pair on Mercer’s bad side.
Then what is up with that list of names that is slipped under Connie and Kelly’s door? Is that a list of resistance names? Or other troopers we have been treated the same as Davis?
Another storyline shows Carol and Lance on a wagon ride to what we learn is a poppy farm. Lance finds himself in the middle of a labor dispute that Carol, of course, helps with. She watches and talks to some of the other workers and discovers that the manager is stealing from them.
Why does Lance want Carol in his confidence? He’d better watch out because Carol will no stand for any type of foul play.
It was a great episode, directed by Michael Cudlitz, who portrayed Abraham Ford. We found out a lot about Lance in this episode. We saw his devious side with Eugene and his snake oil salesman side with Carol.
It is great to see Connie and Kelly working together, but this world is much different than before the outbreak. It is very easy to kill people in this world, and if they dig too deep, I wouldn’t put it past Governor Milton to take care of them.
