Breaking down this week’s The Walking Dead news (April 1, 2022)
By Renee Hansen
It is April Fool’s Day, but it isn’t a joke…The Walking Dead has wrapped filming on the final episode of the series. We all knew this day was coming, but it didn’t make it any easier to handle. The outpouring of posts over social media is astounding. From fans to cast and crew to former castmates, it is an outpouring of love for a series that has been ongoing for 12 years.
Luckily we have 10 more episodes before the final one airs, and I can’t begin to imagine the emotions we will experience that night!
AMC will air the next episode of The Walking Dead, “Trust,” on Sunday, April 3, at 9 p.m. ET. This episode was written by Kevin Deiboldt and directed by Lily Mariye, marking Mariye’s directorial debut in The Walking Dead series. This episode is currently streaming on AMC+.
This episode will finally see Daryl, the Commonwealth troops, and Lance Hornsby at the gates of Hilltop. Rosita, Connie, Kelly, Eugene, and Max will begin an investigation into the Miltons and Ezekiel seeks Tomi’s help with some patients.
Fear the Walking Dead returns to AMC on April 17.
The Fear TWD spinoff special Dead in the Water will air on AMC+ on April 10.
