Fear the Walking Dead: Alycia Debnam-Carey set as lead in Hulu’s Saint X

Fear the Walking Dead actress Alycia Debnam-Carey has been cast as the lead in an upcoming psychological drama series for Hulu. Deadline reports that Saint X is filming in the Dominican Republic and this role became available when Victoria Pedretti (You), who was initially cast as the lead, separated the series.
Fear the Walking Dead is scheduled to begin filming for the eighth season this summer in Savannah, Georgia. Fear TWD had previously filmed in Austin, Texas but late in 2021, announced filming for this series would be moving to Georgia.
What does this mean for Debnam-Carey’s Fear TWD character Alicia? During the penultimate episode of season 7 of Fear the Walking Dead, Alicia broke from the main group to remain in Texas and warn others of the dangers there. This was Debnam-Carey’s final episode of the series. Many fans believed she would return in a later season, but AMC recently announced that season 8 of Fear TWD would be the last.
Alycia Debnam-Carey – Saint X
Saint X is an eight-part series written by Leila Gerstein that gets its source material from a novel penned by Alexis Schaitkin. Darren Grant and Dee Rees will serve as directors.
This psychological drama is in the girl gone missing genre, told across multiple timelines from different perspectives. The series explores how one woman’s death creates a ripple effect pulling her sister into a dangerous exploration for the truth.
Debnam-Carey will play Emily, a sharp ambitious woman whose outwardly perfect life begins to crumble. Additional cast for this series includes Josh Bonzie, Jayden Elijah, West Duchovny, Betsy Brandt, and Michael Park.
