Walking Dead’s Karen Ceesay is back as Mrs. Sinclair on Stranger Things

Karen Ceesay is known to The Walking Dead universe as Bertie from the Hilltop. She was introduced during season 6 and as far as anyone knows is still alive. She was last seen helping to defend against the Whisperers in season 10’s “A Certain Doom.” Ceesay is well known for many of her roles one of which will be seen again in the fourth season of Stranger Things.
Ceesay is known as Mrs. Sinclair in the Netflix Original series Stranger Things. She is the mother of Lucus (Caleb McLaughlin) and Erica (Priah Ferguson) and was seen in two episodes during season 2, “Chapter 2: Trick or Treat, Freak” and “Chapter 5: Dig Dug.”
The streamer has finally released the highly anticipated fourth season, and Ceesay will reprise her role during two episodes “Chapter Six: The Dive” and “Chapter Seven: The Massacre at Hawkins Lab.”
The series rolled out what they are calling volume 1 which is the first seven episodes of this season and on July 1 volume 2 will release the final two. We are very happy to see Mrs. Sinclair again this season. Be sure to check out Ceesay’s Instagram post featuring the Sinclairs.
Karen Ceesay – other roles
Ceesay began performing on the stage at the age of 10 and went on to study theater and dance in her hometown of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at Freedom Theatre. She would head to Atlanta and attend Spelman College, graduating with a bachelor’s in theater arts. She often speaks on panels at events such as the Atlanta Film Festival, BronzeLens Film Festival, DragonCon, Arts Atlanta, and the like.
Her memorable roles you will be familiar with include The Girl from Plainville, Young Rock, Black Lightning, Greenleaf, Rings, Resurrection and Army Wives.
She also starred in One Tree Hill with fellow Walking Dead actress Hilarie Burton Morgan.
