The Walking Dead season 11 part 3 release date, not in June
By Renee Hansen
Believe me, I hate to disappoint you each month with the news that The Walking Dead part 3 isn’t coming. But, here we are again. The one thing that has me excited is that the spinoff series, Tales of the Walking Dead, will release this summer, and that will help bridge the gap to the final eight episodes of the flagship series.
Tales of the Walking Dead has completed filming. According to showrunner Channing Powell, “We are good to lock 106, which is also a lock on season 1.” We can expect a premiere announcement soon, followed by trailer and episode titles with summaries.
This series has the potential to be something that carries The Walking Dead universe. The amount of stories I can think of on my own is vast and could carry on into several seasons. Everything from backstories to side missions to future stories of what happens after an event we’ve already seen.
The Walking Dead season 11 episode 17
The final eight episodes of The Walking Dead will put the fandom through an emotional roller coaster. We are all anxious to see how it ends, but we also dread seeing that final episode.
Here are some of my thoughts:
- I don’t think we will see many former characters as many have hoped.
- I don’t think we will see stories that lead into any of the spinoff series. I feel those lead-up stories will be told in the individual spinoffs.
- I don’t think any ending will satisfy fans because the majority of us aren’t ready for it to end.
- I don’t think the creators will be brave enough to kill off any major character before the end.
These are just a few thoughts of my own, nothing that has been confirmed to me. And, I could be totally wrong.
I have long speculated that we won’t see the premiere for The Walking Dead 1117 until late September/early October. Since we have yet to hear anything, and we knew in April 2021 that season 11 would premiere in August 2021, I imagine it will be the first Sunday in October before we see the first episode of part 3 of season 11. This will allow the final episode to air before Thanksgiving, and the fan event that AMC previously announced for the final episode can take place ahead of the holiday. Again, this is totally speculation on my part.
Hopefully, soon we will have good news to share!
