Fear the Walking Dead’s Bailey Gavulic looks back at season 5
By Renee Hansen
Bailey Gavulic joined Fear the Walking Dead as Annie during the season 5 premiere episode “Here to Help,” Along with her on-screen brothers Dylan (Cooper Dodson) and Max (Ethan Suess), and many other apocalypse orphans, she stayed together, forming their own group. They meet up with Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey), Morgan (Lennie James), and the other survives after the plane crash in the season premiere. Gavulic posted some memories on social media on the third anniversary of her first appearance on the series.
The siblings would take part in the story for the entire fifth season and were part of the group split into Virginia’s (Colby Minifie) settlements.
Their stories would have continued into the sixth season, but the pandemic interfered, so viewers never got to see more of their story. Maybe there will be a return of this trio sometime later on.
Fear the Walking Dead – Bailey Gavulic
In March, it was announced that Gavulic had been cast in a CBS pilot for a series Rust Belt News. This series will be directed by Jeff Blitz (American Auto) and executive produced by Matt Warburton (The Simpsons, The Mindy Project). Other cast announcements for the series include Rich Sommer, Lauren Lindsey Donzis, Jayma Mays, Bentley Green and Angel Laketa Moore.
Set in a small town in Ohio, the series follows a group of high school newspaper writers who find themselves the only reporters remaining to cover all the local news after the town’s only local paper goes out of business. They will find themselves digging for scandals, corruption and polishing the rust from the rust-belt community.
Gavulic will play Kelsey, Rachel’s (Jayma Mays) sarcastic daughter. Although she sneaks out at night to meet boys and has purple hair hidden from her mother, she puts on her best show to be the perfect Christian farm daughter when she is at home.
She is also known for her roles in At the End of the Day, Legion of Ru, No Place in this World, and Psychology of Secrets. She has also starred in several shorts, including A Face in the Crowd, Probaphobe, Tuesday, Prodigal and Cassandra.
