Fear the Walking Dead’s Garret Dillahunt cast in Hightown season 3

Fear the Walking Dead’s Garret Dillahunt has been cast in yet another new role. Dillahunt will always be fondly remembered as the easy-going, sharp shooting, love of June (Jeanna Elfman), John Dorie in The Walking Dead universe. Dillahunt has numerous memorable roles during his career, and Deadline reports he has been cast in a new role for the Starz series Hightown.
Hightown is a crime drama series that originally aired on Starz in May 2020. Created by Rebecca Cutter, this series is executive produced by Cutter, Gary Lennon, Jerry Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman, and KristieAnne Reed.
Set in Cape Cod, this series follows Jackie Quiñone, whose sobriety journey is clouded by a murder investigation. The second season was set during a Cape Cod summer and saw Jackie achieve her dream of becoming a cop and thrust into a case trying to bring down a drug dealer.
The series stars Monica Raymund, Amaury Nolasco, Shane Harper, Luis Guzmán, James Badge Dale, Tonya Glanz, Riley Voelkel, Atkins Estimond, and Dohn Norwood. Season three will see the addition of Dillahunt, Jeanine Serralles, Michael Drayer, Ellie Barone and Taja V. Simpson.
Dillahunt joins the cast as Shane Frawley, a charming South Boston gangster. He owns several legitimate businesses in Massachusetts, but his dealings in Cape Cod are anything but legit.
Since season 3 was only renewed in March, it will be some time until its release. You can catch up on seasons 1 and 2 via Prime Video and Starz.
Garret Dillahunt – Sprung and other projects
Dillahunt is a busy man. He is currently working on several projects, according to IMDB, but who knows, he could have numerous others in the works as well.
On July 15, you can see him in the movie adaptation of Where the Crawdads Sing. He will appear in the Netflix Marilyn Monroe film, Blonde, which releases on Sept. 23, 2022. He starred in Michael Bay’s film Ambulance, which is now available on Prime Video and Peacock.
He was recently cast in a new thriller titled Red Right Hand that stars Orlando Bloom and Andie MacDowell. He portrays an ex-addict turned preacher in this film.
Dillahunt will star in an upcoming series, Sprung, that is created by Greg Garcia for Amazon Freevee. This series will reunite Dillahunt with Garcia and Martha Plimpton, who worked together on Raising Hope.
Sprung follows a group of inmates who are released from prison early due to the pandemic and begin to acclimate to civilian life. They decide to use their criminal skills for good, targeting people who have taken advantage of others during the pandameic. The series also stars Shakira Barrera, Phillip Garcia, Clare Gilles, James Earl, Kate Walsh, Camden Garcia and Andre Jamal Kinney.
