AMC and The Walking Dead universe always make a noteworthy appearance, and this will be the flagship series final Comic Con 2022 event; the fandom has high expectations. In past years fans could participate in things like a zombie vs. survivor experience and Noah’s revolving door scene. Amazing panels have always been promoting the upcoming season featuring many of our favorite actors.

This year it will be interesting to see who is available for this event. Filming for The Walking Dead ended in March, and many of the actors have moved on to new projects. Fear the Walking Dead will begin filming its eighth season by the event dates, tying up those actors’ schedules. Hopefully, there will be many who have set aside time to attend this event since it is the final one for the main series.

The Walking Dead season 11 part 3 release date and trailer

SDCC is traditionally the event that kicks off promotion for the upcoming seasons of The Walking Dead. Even though it isn’t a new season, it is a much more momentous occasion, the final eight episodes ever; it is worthy of the pomp and attention of this event. The expectation is that a premiere date for part 3 and a new trailer will be featured during this event.

Isle of the Dead news

According to Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s Twitter post, Isle of the Dead hasn’t begun filming yet but is expected to start soon. Since filming hasn’t started, there won’t be a trailer, but perhaps some light will be shed on the synopsis of the series, episode count, and maybe more cast announcements.

Tales of the Walking Dead official trailer

Tales of the Walking Dead will premiere on AMC on August 14. Fans are hopeful that an official trailer will be released during SDCC, as the only thing released so far is a quick teaser. This series is anthology-based, so each of the six episodes in season 1 will feature a standalone story. The only confirmed return character so far is Samantha Morton’s Alpha. After looking into things more, we may get an earlier account of this character, previously named Dee, as indicated in the promo photos.

Daryl Dixon spinoff news

The controversial Daryl Dixon spinoff has yet to have a name or any other news besides that it is set in Europe and will now only feature Daryl. It was initially set to also star Melissa McBride as Carol. Any information on this series will be welcome.

Fear the Walking Dead season 8 update

Fear the Walking Dead will begin filming season 8 in the new location of Savannah, Georgia, very soon. Things will be drastically altered in the upcoming season to account for the change in filming location. In season 7, there were many characters who died, and Alicia left, so there are bound to be new characters introduced. So, perhaps there will be some new cast announcements.

The Walking Dead movies update

At the 2019 SDCC, fans were hit with the news that Danai Guriria would depart the series after season 10. This was a blow as Andrew Lincoln announced his departure the previous year. But, creators tried to soften the blow of Guriria’s news by announcing a trilogy of movies that would see Lincoln reprise his role as Rick Grimes. Now, here we are, three years later, and no movies. Last year, Greg Nictoero and Gale Anne Hurd addressed the movies, stating that things were moving forward.

Let’s hope this year’s event either confirms the movies are dead or will finally become a reality.
