AMC Comic Con 2022 Schedule and fan event

Comic Con 2022 will take place in San Diego, California, July 21-25, and AMC has announced its panels and events schedule for the event. This is the first in-person event since 2019, so it is exciting and should be well attended. This also marks The Walking Dead’s final appearance at Comic Con.

AMC will host several panels during the event.

Tales of the Walking Dead panel on Friday, July 22 at 12:30 p.m. PT, Hall H. This spinoff series is set to premiere on August 14 and will feature Chief Content Officer of The Walking Dead Universe, Scott M. Gimple, Showrunner and EP Channing Powell, Director and EP Michael Satrazemis with cast members Terry Crews, Samantha Morton and Danny Ramerez.

The Walking Dead Season 11C panel on Friday, July 22 at 1:30 p.m. PT, Hall H. This panel is also moderated by Hardwick. It will feature Gimple, showrunner and EP Angela Kang, and EP, Director and SFX Supervisor Greg Nicotero with cast members Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, Christian Serratos, Ross Marquand, Khary Payton, Seth Gilliam, Josh McDermitt, Michael James Shaw, Cailey Fleming and Lauren Ridloff.

Queer for Fear panel on Friday, July 22 at 4:45 p.m. PT, Room 6A. This panel will cover the upcoming Shudder original docuseries about the history of Queer people in the horror/thriller genre. This panel will feature EPs Bryan Fuller and Steak House, interviewee and filmmaker Kimberly Peirce and interviewee and podcaster Renée “Nay” Bever.

Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire panel on Saturday, July 23 at 2 p.m. PT, Ballroom 20. This panel highlights the first series in the Anne Rice collection and will feature EP Mark Johnson, Creator, Writer and Showrunner Rolin Jones, and cast members Sam Reid, Jacob Anderson, Bailey Bass and Eric Bogosian. Production Designer Mara LePere Schloop will join them as they discuss this new version of Rice’s best-selling novel.

There will also be a Walking Dead Fan Celebration hosted at the Hilton Gaslamp Hotel located at 4th Avenue and L Street, across from the San Diego Convention Center hosted by AMC Networks on Friday, July 22 at 7:30 p.m PT.

Attendees will be immersed in an exclusive experience designed for Comic Con which will highlight eleven seasons of the greatness of The Walking Dead. This will include set pieces, props and artifacts from the series that will display the artistry of the series.  Fans will have the opportunity to capture photos and videos of their favorite elements of the series.

AMC has created exclusive merch for attendees including enamel pins and shirts available at this event. There will also be a chance to transform themselves into a walker at a makeup station, “Taste of Traditions” Commonwealth ice cream flavors, themed food and beverages, giveaways and more to be announced soon.
