When does The Walking Dead start again?
By Renee Hansen
The big question in The Walking Dead fandom is when does the series return to AMC? Fans have been waiting since April for a new episode of the series in its eleventh and final season. AMC aired the midseason finale of the recent season in April, and things took a drastic turn for the survivors.
The Commonwealth is a newly introduced community that is more advanced than any seen in the series since the outbreak. Although outwardly things appear to be sunshine and happiness, there, of course, is an unsavory underbelly that is beginning to rear its head.
In the finale, the organization, in a move led by Deputy Governor Lance Hornsby (Josh Hamilton), took over Alexandria, Hilltop and Oceanside. It is unclear if his actions were done with or without the knowledge and approval of Governor Milton (Laila Robins).
The Walking Dead season 11 part 3
>>>July 25, 2022 Update: The Walking Dead season 11 part 3 release date
On July 22, The Walking Dead will host its final Comic Con panel in Hall H in San Diego. This event will feature the trailer for part 3 and announce the return date for the last eight episodes of season 11.
Fans are excited to know when the series will return, even though it will mark the end of an era. October is traditionally known as the month of The Walking Dead, seeing that the series premiered on October 31, 2010, and the majority of the seasons premiered in that month.
It would be very cool to air the final episode on Sunday, October 30, 2022, twelve years after the pilot premiered, but that would require the spinoff Tales of the Walking Dead to air episodes on the same nights as The Walking Dead since it begins August 14 and will not see its finale until September 18.
I believe the return date will be October 2, making the series ending date November 20. If you check out the doors of the elevators at SDCC, they say “The Last Episodes October.”
We don’t have long to wait now as the Comic Con panel is tomorrow, July 21. Tales of the Walking Dead will host its first panel in Hall H this year.
