Tales of the Walking Dead will air its fourth episode Sunday, September 4. The episode is titled “Amy/Dr. Everett” and stars Poppy Liu and Anthony Edwards and is available now on AMC+. This means viewers still have two more stories in the first season of this series, with one being a murder mystery and the other a psychological thriller.

Tales of the Walking Dead is an episodic anthology series that features standalone stories within The Walking Dead universe in different areas of the United States. This series also introduces a new batch of characters finding their way to live in an apocalypse. Another unique element of this series is that each episode takes place in a different time period after the fall.

True to its anthology structure, this series has released vastly different stories. The first episode, “Joe/Evie,” paired up two very opposite personalities on parallel journeys who must find common ground. Episode two, “Blair/Gina” was a reality-twisting comedy adventure in the vein of Groundhog Day and Happy Death Day. The third episode, “Dee,” brought back a familiar face in Samantha Morton’s Alpha and opened a new chapter in this character’s story.

Episode 5 is “Davon” and will air on AMC on September 11. This episode stars Jessie T. Usher, Embeth Davidtz, Loan Chabanol and Gage Munroe and is directed by Michael Satrazemis and written by showrunner and co-creator of the series, Channing Powell.

The current synopsis released by AMC reads:

"Within the walls of a protected community in Madawaska, Maine, an outsider named Davon (Usher) suddenly wakes up with no memory of how he got there. With blood on his hands, Davon must piece together flashes of his life while being hunted by the French-speaking locals seeking justice to a murder Davon does not remember, let alone believes he could have committed."

The sixth and final episode of this season, “La Doña,” directed by Deborah Kampmeier and written by Lindsey Villarreal, features Julie Carmen as La Doña, Danny Ramirez as Eric, and Daniella Pineda as Idalia in an episode described as:

"a young, traumatized couple in desperate need of a safe haven. The two discover a secluded house otherwise known as La Doña Alma’s home, where unexplainable sinister events begin to occur. Idalia and Eric must find a way forward or risk being rooted in death forever"

The final two episodes appear very dark and suspenseful, an exciting addition to The Walking Dead universe. Both episodes will premiere on AMC+ one week ahead of the AMC premiere.
