Congratulations to Colman Domingo on his first Emmy win for Eurphoria

Our heartfelt congratulations to Colman Domingo for his Emmy win for his guest role in the HBO Max series Euphoria. Domingo is well known in The Walking Dead universe for his role as Victor Strand in Fear the Walking Dead, which is currently filming its eighth season.

Domingo was present at the Creative Emmy Awards ceremony to accept his honor and looked dazzling in all white. He was nominated for and won, Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series for his performance in the episode titled “Ruminations: Big and Little Bullys.” He was in great company as the other nominees were Adrien Brody, James Cromwell, Arian Moayed, Alexander Skarsgård, all for Succession, and Tom Pelphrey, Ozark.

In Sam Levinson’s series, Domingo portrays Ali, the Narcotics Anonymous sponsor to Rue, portrayed by Zendaya. Deadline has a video of Domingo speaking backstage where he teases what’s to come in season 3 of Euphoria. He stated that Levinson wants to tell really compelling stories and not rely on the previous success of the series but to go deeper with the characters.

He also stated it feels really really good to represent the Afro-Latino actors with his win. He is confident his family in Belize, Guatemala, and all over Central America are screaming in the streets for him, as are the people he represents from the humble streets of West Philadelphia.

In his Instagram post, Domingo gives shout-outs to everyone who supports him and has followed him on his journey. He dedicates his win to the memory of his parents, who gave him an imagination, which allows him to portray the many unique characters in his career. He also encourages everyone reading to keep going as he is 32 years in, and it feels like he is just getting started.
