Greg Nicotero reveals Shudder’s Creepshow: From Script to Scream book
By Renee Hansen
As part of the AMC Networks Publishing campaign, a new book highlighting Shudders Creepshow is available for preorder and will be ready to ship on December 20, 2022. The book Shudder’s Creepshow: From Script to Scream is a coffee table book featuring a behind-the-scenes deep dive into the series. The book is written by Dennis L. Prince and designed by John J. Hill, with Julia Hobgood co-producing with AMC Networks Publishing and Creepshow series producer/director Greg Nicotero.
The series is based on the anthology movie of the same-titled directed by George A. Romero and written by Stephen King, released in 1982. The film consists of five short stories and is a homage to the 1950s EC comics like Tales from the Crypt, The Vault of Horror, and The Haunt of Fear. Romero hired SFX specialist Tom Savini to replicate the comic book feel for the movie.
Nicotero and Savini, who also directed an episode, and fellow Creepshow series director John Harrison all worked on the first two Creepshow films.
The Creepshow series was renewed for a fourth season in February 2022, with no announcement of a release date for this season. Previous seasons have included several TWD actors, including Josh McDermitt, Michael Rooker, Ethan Embry, King Bach, C. Thomas Howell, and Cailey Fleming.

This is a must-have for Creepshow and Nicotero fans. He shared the book cover design on Instagram, being held by his friend Raoul. He shares that the book contains interviews with key departments, behind-the-scenes photos, and more.
