Jeffrey Dean Morgan shares recipe for boozy coffee drink using MF Bonfire

For many, December brings cold temperatures accompanied by warm coffee or tea drinks to keep warm during the winter.  The Walking Dead’s Jeffrey Dean Morgan assists fans in concocting a warm drink this winter season by sharing a recipe for a boozy coffee that uses MF Bonfire Smokey Rye Whiskey.  

Hot whiskey drinks aren’t something new. Many remember hot toddy’s from years ago that people used to soothe cold symptoms. The combination of honey, lemon, and warm water alone was a balm to combat coughs and colds. The addition of whiskey made this drink a fun cocktail to cure what ales you. (don’t mix whiskey and over-the-counter or prescription cold medications).

Morgan’s boozy coffee is basically his version of Irish Coffee. All you need is a 1/4 cup of heavy cream, three teaspoons of brown sugar, and 1 1/2 ounces of MF Bonfire whipped until soft. Add equal parts “hooch” and coffee to your mug and top with the boozy whipped cream. He recommends doubling the recipe but saving it all for yourself.

Morgan and his wife, Hilarie Burton Morgan, added MF Libations to their Mischief Farms empire early in 2022. This new venture consists of a quality line of tea-infused libations consisting of MF Blackberry Gin and MF Bonifire Smoky Rye.

The MF Libations website features the Morgan’s favorite cocktail recipes, including one called Penicillin, which is a modern version of a toddy drink in which they use their Mischief Farms honey.
