Norman Reedus is currently filming for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, a spinoff that will continue the story of his character Daryl Dixon. The series will be the second direct spinoff of the main Walking Dead series. Fresh off filming for The Bikeriders, Deadline reports that Reedus has now been cast in the John Wick spinoff Ballerina.

Reedus joins the already announced Ballerina cast of Ana de Armas, Anjelica Huston, Ian McShane, Lance Reddick, and Catalina Sandino Moreno. There have also been rumors that Keanu Reeves, who portrays John Wick, will make a cameo in the film.

Len Wiseman, known for Underworld, Live Free or Die Hard, and Total Recall (2012), will direct the screenplay written by Shay Hatten, known for John Wick 3, Army of the Dead, and Army of Thieves. Hatten will also write scripts for John Wick 3 and 4.

Wiseman told Deadline that they are very excited to bring Reedus on board the film. They are huge fans and are confident his fans will be happy to learn he joins the John Wick universe.

Ballerina will be set between John Wick 3 and 4 and see Rooney (de Armas), a ballet dancer turned assassin, who hunts down the people who murdered her family. Filming for the movie began in November 2022 in Prague.
