Last month Deadline reported that Cinedigm acquired the North American rights to Breathing Happy, written and directed by Shane Brady, who also stars. This film is Brady’s first feature directorial debut for Rustic Films.
Brady portrays Dylan, a recovering addict coming up on his one year of sobriety, and is described as an updated version of It’s a Wonderful Life. Alone on Christmas day Dylan’s demons of the past tempt him via a talking Golden Door. Will he find relapse or rebirth?
Starring with Brady and Nacon are Sarah Bolger, Jim O’Heir, John D’Aquino, Aaron Moorhead & Justin Benson. Breathing Happy can be rented or purchased on VUDU starting at $3.99.
